Korean for Kids (A1.2)

This course is for early teens (10-15) who have a passive understanding or basic knowledge of Korean. 

Learn it as a foreign language just like English or German, for example to understand what is said in K-pop or K-drama. You already learned the Korean alphabet, basic words and how to build basic sentences, but you want to practice what you already know and are ready to learn more complicated sentences.  

We will learn from real conversations or lyrics, have fun practicing through activities, memorize words and expressions by playing games. Each lesson ends with 15 minute reading a scene from a Korean traditional story. 

At the end of the course, you will be able to not only understand but also express yourself at A1.2 level. For those who want to, we will prepare ourselves to show off on a stage what we have learned.

Hello, my name is Jeeyoung Seo. I graduated as Korean teacher and am certified by the Korean ministry of culture, sports and tourism. I have been teaching Korean as a foreign language at various institutions with great pleasure in the past five years. I believe that learning a new language is not only about mastering grammar and vocabulary, but also about understanding the culture and people who speak it. I strive to keep my classes as interesting and supportive as possible so that everyone in the class will have learning fun and be fully engaged. I’m excited to meet you in class! Hallo, mijn naam is Jeeyoung Seo. Ik ben afgestudeerd als lerares Koreaans en ben gecertificeerd door het Koreaanse ministerie van Cultuur, Sport en Toerisme. Ik heb de afgelopen vijf jaar met veel plezier Koreaans als vreemde taal onderwezen aan verschillende instellingen. Ik denk dat het leren van een nieuwe taal niet alleen gaat over het beheersen van grammatica en woordenschat, maar ook over het begrijpen van de cultuur en de mensen die de taal spreken. Ik streef ernaar om mijn lessen zo interessant en ondersteunend mogelijk te houden, zodat iedereen in de klas met veel plezier en volledige betrokkenheid zal leren. Ik zie ernaar uit om je te ontmoeten in de les!
